Rashaan Cruzé

I'm passionate, carefree and very silly. I adore being an artist because I get to be completely honest, vulnerable and bold...then I get to share it with the world. This scares me to death but at the same time exhilirates me. I guess that's
normal artist turmoil stuff.

My art is described as having
duende [spirit, blood, passion, depth, a visceral element]. "Sort of Warhol gone erotic" (Marin Independent Journal, July 2008).

My favorite artists are
Sabrina Ward Harrison, Audrey Kawasaki, Frida Kahlo, PapayaArt, and my divine, wise, and gorgeous sister, Amber j. Cruzé . Books that changed my life include "The Artists Way" by Julia Cameron, "The Alchemist" by Paulo Coelho, and "The Mastery of Love" by Don Miguel Ruiz.

I believe there are only two ways to live your life, based on fear or love. If you pick love, your everyday life can start to seem kind of magical. I like that. It takes A LOT of practice, but I like it.

"The boy didn't know what a person's "Personal Legend" was.

"It's what you have always wanted to accomplish. Everyone, when they are young, knows what their Personal Legend is. At some point in their lives, everything is clear and everything is possible. They are not afraid to dream, and to yearn for everythng they would like to see happen to them in their lives...The Soul of the World is nourished by people's happiness and, when you want something, all the universe conspires in helping you to achieve it."
